How to use the barcode add-in for MS Access
First of all you must insert into your report the fields you want to barcode.
Size these fields with the appropriate width and height to hold the barcodes into.
Remember the Name of the fields, not its Control source:
Test your report to verify that it is showing what you need. You will not see any bar code for the moment, but the information to be bar coded must appear in human readable form (otherwise, you can not expect to get right barcodes later):
Save your report, and open the ABarcode wizard from Tools -> Add-ins. (Access 2007 image)
If you are not registered, you will see the ABarcode Trial window: just Close it to continue.
Select a report from the reports list, and press Next:
Select the field you want to bar code in Other fields, and press Add to move it to the list of Barcode fields.
You can select several fields for bar-coding:
Now set the type of bar code and other selectable settings for each barcode field:
Press Next and select an option to Finish:
Once the report is saved, barcodes will be printed every time you open it:
